Artist Statement: The Cockatrice, a mythical monster born of cock and serpent who can turn you to stone with a single glance. A terrifying creature whose putrid breath and toxic venom can kill. But each beast has its weakness. The crow of a rooster or cluck of a chicken can scare it into submission, and a mirror held to its face will surely destroy him. This ring was hand carved in sterling silver and set with a border of black spinel. Wear this cockatrice as a reminder that even our most evil enemies can be defeated.

Artist Bio: June Cream is an artist and Jeweler living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She specializes in hand engraved signet rings and loves to incorporate a sense of play into her work.
