THE LAND BEATS by at a visceral pace. Plants grow, seasons wane, babies walk, all in the span of a day. Cells evolve, monsters mutate, the darkness grows as the sun’s seat sits vacant. Rapid expansion and decadence, lights snuffed by the shadow out of sight just as quickly.
YOU WILL TAKE CONTROL OF A GENERATION. You will squeal and squander, create and invent, build and war in an endless cycle. But the depth of your voice will echo consequences to the ones after.
THEY WILL HEAR YOUR VOICE and will no doubt come. The devils living on the edge of the umbra will face you down, to eat, to hate, and to bring the end times.
THEN YOU WILL BREED. They will be many, and as consumingly sinful as their parents before. Truces will be made, sisters auctioned off. Perhaps, heritage and plaques preserved.
IN THE END YOUR BED MADE. Goodbyes, heartbreaks, all will come to an end. Tearful fire keepers, young and innocent, will take your sword and carry on the cycle of KINGDOMS.
About the game:
Kingdoms is a dark role-playing game set at the dawn of civilization with the birth of man in an untamed sunless world. As Godkings, you must explore a hostile continent and grow your holdings from tribe to kingdom through slaying and harvesting dangerous beasts. Develop tools to survive and culture to thrive. But don't grow complacent, god blood: you must forge a dynasty to stand against the thrashing whims of power hungry relatives and competing nations in the face of the suffocating Dark and the horrors within.
The story of mankind is yours to tell in Kingdoms. The players will hammer the foundations of human civilization in a sunless world through slaying the monstrosities of their era and assuming the role of their successors to continue the heroic lineage.
Will your blood stand for strength in the face of the Dark?
Strive for ingenuous discoveries to avoid bloodshed?
Enforce mankind's divine right of conquest by trapping and bending the horrors of the Dark to their will?
Or will your kingdom fall from heaven having squandered the resources accumulated from their mythic roots?
